Word 2010: Quickly Remove Formatting & Styles

Clear all text formatting

In Microsoft Word 2010 and Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, you can easily clear all formatting (such as bold, underline, italics, color, superscript, subscript, and more) from your text and return your text to its default formatting styles.
  1. Select the text that you want to clear the formatting from.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Font group, do one of the following:
    • In Word, click Clear Formatting Button image.
    • In PowerPoint, click Clear All formatting Button image.

  1. Type text and press Enter
  2. Type three dash --- and press Enter. 
  3. It will create underline across page

  1. Border and shading-->Chose custom style
  2. Save as new styles
  3. Apply as Bottom border to the paragraph (selected text)
