Wordpress problems in oDesk
- How to install wordpress in your website?
- In your web host
- Set index.php as the default page in your web host
- Create a database in the web host for your wordpress
- Create a user and password in the web host for the database
- Download the wordpress from www.wordpress.org
- Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php
- Open the wp-config.php file and set the
- Database name
- DB User name
- DB Password
- Using the ftp file uploader (for example: FileZilla) upload the wordpress into your web host
- wordpress 403 - forbidden access is denied The default page for your the worpress admin control panel is the index.php file. It is not being recognized by the system as the home page that's why you are getting a 403 error when you try to login. For this matter, you would have to set index.php in your web host as the default page for wp-admin folder through the IIS manager.
- I have a bitnami EC2 running on AWS. I have installed Wordpress Multisite on it and have some minor issues that I'd like resolved.
1- Make sure the WordPress MU Domain Mapping is working properly
2- When I create new subdomain sites they don't open
3- When I create new domains they work but I can't login to the admin section
4- I'd like to know how can I get GUI access to MySQL
5- I need to have email notifications working
- I need a landing page create for an author.
There are 2 books in DOCX format that need to be converted into e-books.
These 2 books need to be sold on the website that also needs to be created.
There is already a wordpress site (and domain) that needs to be changed. The current site can be deleted (but send me the original files) and new simple landing page created. Happy to pay for a themeforest.com template to be used.
The developer needs to do the following:
- create landing page
- convert 2 novels into e-books
- create links to download the e-books from the website
- use paypal to receive payments before the e-books can be downloaded.
What is provided:
--wordpress logon details to amend current site
- paypal details to set-up the merchant facilities.
